Thank you @bullfrog for taking the time to leave some feedback and tips. I really really appreciate your feedback and will take note of those things you mentioned! Think I did this after about 6 months of mini painting? Was trying out warpaints too and thought it was one of my better works at the time so I decided to post it to get some feedback. Sadly only yours so far... so thank you very much! :D
Not a bad effort if you are relatively new to mini painting. Working on smooth transitions between shades and highlights would help immensely. There are many tutorials online as to how to go about it. Personally I dilute my paints and layer colour or shade changes on but that might not be right for you and you prefer another method. Brushing heavily diluted inks over rough transition spots can also hide some errors. Using a thin line of paint between areas such as the fingers and nails can help the nails stand out....or again, an ink may work better and could flow into the recesses more easily.
However it's the basic and easy to do things that can help take your mini to another level. Watch the mould lines such as the one that's on the left arm. Also think about using putty to get rid of the join lines between parts. Just these two things can give you a great base to work on.
And keep a mini or two as you improve to judge just how far you have come. This helps when you feel like you just can't get something right. You can look at the older work and know how much you have improved.
