Here is my conversion of the plastic Battlesuit kit. The goal was to bring it closer to the proportions seen in various GW illustrations. I've included a side-by-side picture with an unmodified XV8. Absolutely love it, looked at the youtube video and the plasticard work is insane. I am doing my own project similar... but I never thought about narrowing the torso like that, not sure if I have the skill but I kind of want to try!

Mission accomplished. The side by side shot really shows how toy-like by comparison the GW version is compared to your interpretation. Amazing clean paintjob.
