You've got a solid start here. Thinning down your paints really will help, doing a couple or three layers of thinner paint helps preserve more details in the mini than one layer of thick paint, and just generally looks smoother. People prefer to see finished bases, so working on that and getting a bit more lighting on your picture will help improve the look of things a lot!
