Kingdom Death Mountain Man
Time for the big weird one and the crown accomplishment of my entries into Crystal Dragon earlier this year. Received a gold for this one as well and most people at the show said it was their favorite of my work. It's funny because I went in not feeling this piece at the time but afterward I think I've got to say it's one of my favorites, but the Orc Warboss is probably my favorite. This model is the Kingdom Death Mountain Man. What a model! An extremely tricky model to work with, I think I painted the chest armour 3 or 4 different colours before I came to this decision. The face in the armour was so tricky because I didn't want to take attention from the actual monsters face. Things learned from this one? Base is probably too tall and firelight in a dark scene is a super duper challenge but I will keep working at it because it's something I really want to be able to pull off properly. I hope you like him. And this rounds out my Crystal Dragon entries, from now on it will all be new works.
