Adeptus Custodes Custodian Guard

I experimented while painting these guys to try to give their armour the dulled silver look of Titanium, by drybrushing Leadbelcher over Mechanicus Standard Grey, before shading with Nuln+Lahmian 1:1. I'm not sure how I feel about the effect. Feedback always welcome.

Thanks for the comments, I did indeed build up the dry brushed layered very gradually and I am pleased with the gems they are quite large on Custodes so straight forward to paint. The gems have a coat of gloss varnish so shine nicely in real life.

I kinda like the way you have painted the armour. The darker metal breaks up the amount of gold that these dudes usually wear. The gold they do have stands out as a result rather than the whole gold mini temporarily blinding the onlooker. The main mini looks a little nicer than the others but I guess it should and that is just nit picking from my end. When dry brushing them you must have brushed to the point of polishing the metallic pigment in the paint as they don't look dry brushed. It's very smooth and looks quite realistic. Nice gems too BTW.
