I'm happy with the result on this one and feel it's the best thing I've painted so far, it has turned out decently and I really pushed my boundaries with regards to the atmospheric situation this guy is in. This was also my first bust and I enjoyed it immensely. I wouldn't have normally chosen this model to paint so I'm glad I got to chance to. Looking forward to putting some of the things I learned in this class into practice on the next thing I paint. I'd love to hear thoughts on what colours viewers think the items of clothing are. What colour is his undershirt, his bandana, and his jacket? Can you pick the lighting situation I've tried to represent with this paint job (in a sense I'm trying to figure out if I've achieved what I set out to do when I started)? Personally what I notice it needs is that I should have darkened the top of the leather strap and perhaps added some more brown to the jacket around the chest area - it's a big blank there because there's not much light touching that part of the model I guess.

Beautiful OSL. At first I thought, it was a night scene with moon light with some ghostly treasure chest next to him. Then I saw his left eye (and his monkey's eye too) so I think he is actually a ghost. And I don't think that your zenithal light comes from moon as the bandana is still magenta which is impossible. Physics stuffs :) I agree that the leather strap is to light and it catches the eyes. Good job David :)
