Fairly neat brushwork for having just started out. The one biggest piece of advice I'd give you is to thin your paints slightly with water. Maybe just 1:1 to start out with basecoats. The thought of shading and highlighting can be daunting when first starting out but even a single shade and highlight can do more for your painting than anything else. Yellow can be a difficult colour to paint but if you apply a basecoat of of a more opaque yellow/tan you don't need to apply the yellow so thickly to get coverage. I can't remember the name anymore but citadel make thicker paints to get good coverage underneath. I know Vallejo make the Heavy paints in their Game Colour range.
