The Savage Orc

This is the 54mm scale Orc Brave from Ouroborus Miniatures. I painted the piece for one of their Kickstarter stretch goals (creating a painting journal as I want) and had a blast working on it. I wanted to do something a little different with the figure. So I'm depicting a scene where the otherwise savage orc is momentarily calmed by nature. I hope you enjoy the end result!

Many thanks, BloodASmedium! It's been fun trying to paint more distinct lighting and see how it affects the end result. Oh, and thanks for the encouragement to stick with stone for all of the axe head elements. I definitely think it was the right way to go. Now, let's just hope it's well received at the show! ;)

Obviously best of show in some upcoming show. Excellent technical painting, best I've seen from you. Excellent "FORCED CONTRAST" really like how you've went head first into something that all the pros love and it's worked for you in the most amazing way aesthetically. And the storytelling telling and theme is always self explanatory as it should b. Ide say your getting the hang of this mini painting thing i.e.;)))))) your a highly skilled individual and it's always a pleasure david sharing in your creations ,btw the axe turned out lovely. ;)
