Longbeard Lineman

This is my first mini painted and is a colour scheme test for a blood bowl team (going with something else I think!). Definitely looking for feedback on what I can do better.

Well done for your first mini, off to a pretty nice start... ok for some tips thin your paints down and apply lots of smooth coats instead on trying to get full coverage in just one or two thick coats. Then add a bit of the lighter (highlight colour) to the base colour and build up the highlight areas (where light will hit the most). Do this over several coats adding a little bit more highlight colour with every coat, working up to just the peak of the highlight being the lightest colour (possibly just the highlight colour by itself). This is basic blending... I would say work on this for a while and then you can start working on painting in shadows etc... check out YouTube as there are thousands of tutorials etc that will help you out... biggest thing is just keep painting, the more you do the better you will get at it... good luck :)
