My first miniature

Here is my very first miniature, and my first real experience with using a paintbrush. I used an airbrush to prime the figure, and to paint the base black coat (which is only visible now on the bolt pistol and the handle of the chainsword). This was a huge learning experience, and although it does looks terrible, I think I did allright. When I first started, I didn't remember to thin the space wolf grey, so it has lots of brushstrokes :/ I am happy however, how the base turned out... perhaps a bit dark, but overall it looked good, I think. many thanks to jester, and people on the forums for hints and tips before i started. edit- slightly larger pictures can be found on my website, here: http://www.mysticdale.com/wolf/index.php?site=firstmini

For your first mini it's very well painted. And I like the color scheme!

Thanks for the comments everyone :) El Guardian: none of these figures will be for gaming.. I just went with whatever looked coolest, when it came to weapon configs, and the paint scheme. I wasn't really aiming to be 100% accurate to the SW schemes :)

I think you´re too harsh with yourself; it´s verygood for your first work, it´s very clean (e.g. you hit only the place you wanted to paint) and you even used soemhighlighting (on the bolter) True, the color is too thick, and perhaps you dhould have inked the metal aprts, but it´s good nevertheless. base is OK too.
