@gab and BloodASmedium : thanks a lot, your comments really pushes me forward into the following of this project ! @Bubba Pearson : I happen to have old tools at home that spent some time (but not as long as you say) outside more or less buried in the ground, and they look a lot like the weapons above - and i garanty they are still fully functionnal. Actuelly, for a metal tool to become useless because of rust it must be rusted completely in depth, if the rust is only on the surface it can look like the weapons above but still be really sturdy, so I think it is not so unrealistic (even if I agree, it may look a bit heavy handed on rust, but i like it this way for these chaos cenobites, it adds a bit of color)

totally agree with BAM, love the concept and the execution ! plus, makes me think of doom, which can never be bad for such supposed great evil as "heretic astartes"

If this trooper's gear was dug up from some ancient, mucky swamp ... where it was again abandoned out in the harshest elements for years and years and years ... and it eventually was buried under a colossal half human, half beast midden heap ... where it languished for decades more under pounding acidic rainstorms and a relentless, burning sun ... was rediscovered ... and given to this troop ... then the amount of visible rust might be accurately depicted. Weapons and other gear that rusty would be absolutely useless, and we know the followers of the chaotic path always have functional weaponry at least. Subtlety is the key for rust -- a little goes a long way. Keep up the good work!
