After reading these reply's I almost feel like painting a bright orange Cypher just to get up some noses. Paint Cypher whichever way you want, I know I would.

True. But there isn't anything wrong with following the background. That is unless you can't paint the colour. Then just admit it. This mini is okay. He's a little too glossy. and the photo needs more lighting to see your work.

Yes Templartau, you are right. the Dark Angel were black pre-heresy, and there by, Cypher armor would be black. But as the one gent said, it CAN be anything. Cheers. Nice paint job too.
