‘Haru’ Japanese Spring

[Update] Winner of the Epicomp 2018 painting competition - OPEN category Hokkaido, along the Ishikari river... A man enjoys the quick bloom of the cherry blossoms as he contemplates nothing, feeling an empty peace amid the lush beauty of the riverside. For his patience, and calm, a gift is bestowed upon him as a Niji Masu (rainbow trout) decides to take interest in his bait. Tonight, the man and his family will give thanks to the river and the fish for providing them food, and they will drink tea, and they will laugh very loud, and they will be at peace with the world.
