Wrong Planet - Silver GD 2018
Hello guys! Today I'd like to share one of my recent pieces, a tiny Imperial Guard diorama called "Wrong Planet". I really enjoyed creating it and I'm happy that I was able to finish it in time for the GD. The backstory with this one is quite simple - this poor guys ship has crashed so he had to use the escape pod. When he arrived on the planet - he understood that its the wrong planet and he is screwed. He can probably hear some scary noises of some terrifying creatures and he knows that they will hunt him down and eat him. I tried to leave as many hints about it, as possible. Some of the more obvious ones are: the face expression of the guardsman, a pack of cigarettes in his backpack or a blood hand mark on the window of the capsule. Also, with his face in particular, I wanted to show how depressing this situation is, he is in true agony as he sees his death in the near future. Yes, lots of drama on this one haha. The piece was created for the Golden Demon 40K in the UK and I was lucky enough to win a Silver in the Open category, which makes me so so happy. Unfortunately, the picture quality isnt that good but its the official picture from the Golden Demon website. Hope you like it! Kind regards, Mamikon
