Demon Prince of Tzeentch

A lot of work went into this one: I used the Nightbringer body, a 2nd generation Flamer head, some extra Zombie arms the Lord of Change’s wings and assorted other parts to make him like he is now. What I like most is the shield which I sculpted myself after an old Ian Miller drawing from ‘The lost and the Damned’ and the shoulder pad which was painted freehand. The gem in his breast was inserted after I ground a cavity into his breast(Yikes!), the cracking skin around it has been sculpted. With this miniature, I tried to highlight a metallic colour (Burnished Gold) with a non-metallic one (White) for the first time, which results in a very interesting "blurry-to-the-naked-eye"-effect, especially for Tzeentchian minis. I found this very time-consuming, though, because the blendings have to be absolutely perfect not to ruin the desired effect. When I would build and paint this figure again today, I would not use that much red. It made third place WH40K Monster on GD UK in 2002. Enjoy the pic!

This is a fantastic piece! My only suggestion is some better quality closeups to show off the freehand and details. Nice work!
