World Eaters Possessed Chaos Dreadnaught - Kitbash

This was a major kitbash to create a cheaper funkier chaos dread for my World Eaters army. I got the inspiration when I first saw the Krash Thrax model for Inquisito. It took me a few months to get a hold of one. Thankfully they had em at Games Day, especially since I had asked a mate to get him and the extra bits I'd need when he went over to the UK. He got the extras for the conversion but not the main model. Anyway onto what went where. The torso and arms are from the origianl Krash Thrax. I added new bigger plastic 40K weapons. A vehicle heavy flamer and a pair of bolt guns. I added extra detailing with green stuff and plastic rod. The legs are the regular Chaos Dreadnaught legs, the feet are converted Sentinal ones with the toes rearranged with some added rivet plates in the fronts. I added actuaters on the back with plastic rod and bolts on the sides. I joined the legs to the torso with brass rod and aluminium tubing for the hydraulics. I wanted an open space between them for that ABC warrior look. The backpack powerplant is a Chaos Raptor backpack with added smokestacks. Oh and the face mask which really nailed the look I was going for is from a defiler with the jaw removed, it fit the inq scale head perfectly.

I'm not big on the overall look of it... he seems like somebody covered him in super glue and threw him thru a junkyard. Nonetheless, really nice workmanship and artistic flair. I've got to give it a 9. My only critical comment would be the skulls look like halloween props stuck on there (they look too clean, I guess).

I like it! The only problem I really have with it is someone of the deatail on one of the skulls on the right leg got sorta blobby, and when something that big steps on barbed wire, it will get very bended, its a little stoo straight, you need to mangle it some, no offense, this is a model that could-sorry, should-strike fear into your opponent when they see it deployed or some bursting out of a drop pod.

That is a truly amazing piece of conversion work. I think some shaded depth in a few areas would be more fitting, especially in the red parts (which might just be the photo) but that is just my opinion. It definately still has a extremely potent chaos feel to it, no question. Beautimus work!
