The biggest thing I see on here is the mould lines. Because of their placement on the shoulder they immediately catch the eye of the viewer. The second thing is that the figure suggests that it should have a sheen to it, like insect carapace, but you’ve left it fairly matte especially in comparison to the glossy ‘infants’. Thinly applied ink glazes would help to put a sheen to the queen, without overwhelming the impact of the ‘hatchlings’.
