Brainstorm
This. I've just gotten into this painting minis hobby about a week ago, and find images like this one super inspiring. I believe the term object source lighting has been used to describe this method.. and it's amazing. I tried to accomplish this on one of mine, and the lighting (no matter how thinly I apply) just looks like a paintball grenade went off. Such is the journey I suppose!
