Winter Night Christmas Ornament

This is a horse made by Breyer. It is approximately 60mm tall at the ear tip. I drilled a hole and inserted an eye screw into the hole for the hanger. Before you say it's too glossy, it was done as a gift for my wife and in her opinion, the glossier the better. I based it on a horse pattern called the "snowflake appaloosa" with some variation of course: real horses aren't blue and don't have actual snow-flake shapes. The hooves and eyes are silver. The snowflakes were originally silver but I din't like the effect so I did them over in white. I was going for a wedgewood blue look but took it a tad darker. I name her "winter night" and I've got 3 more horse ornaments to do. I hope you enjoy something so different from the norm here.

A very different figure on the site. It's great that some miniatures are not not just game oriented. I'm not a big fan of the gloss. But the over all color and petterning is very wintery. The white eye is a bit creepy. But what else could work?. HMMmmm. A very inspiring peice. Oh BTW snowflakes are based on hexagonal (6 sided) symmetry. Nice one Vince!

It's too glossy :-) Seriously though, looks good. Variety is good!

I hope your wife likes it. It's a different mini to what we normally see on here and I like it as well.
