Ghoul Nolzur's WZK72571
I received this Ghoul as a gift and it is the first mini I ever painted! Armed with the most basic techniques I was just instructed in, I went on to apply base coat, wash, and drybrush. Very simple looking back, but at the time I recall it was rather frustrating. Took me 3 days of doing not much else and it was infuriating when I was struggling to "paint inside the lines" - especially on the face and tiny details, like exposed skin through holes in the fabric, done a ton of repairs... and I was continuously surprised by how small minis are :P Anyhow, nice texture on the mini helped and I eventually finished him : ) More recently I decided that minis need bases and it also became the first one to get a base. Went for a muddy swampy base and I think it turned surprisingly good! I was just playing around without a clear plan and I doubt I can replicate it XD Now he's my first picture on coolmini! Keep testing everything on this brave ghoul. From now on he'll be known as "Ghoul, the 1st". * More on how it went at: pocketsizedadventurers.wordpress.com/2019/02/16/day-14/
