For gming purposes on the tabletop these minis are perfectly fine - just keep going and you will see improvements come from more practice.
My tip for eyes: don't bother. Especially don't use any white. Just do high contrast shades and highlights on the face, make sure the eyes area is getting strong shades, and maybe just a dark brown spot where the pupil is. At the level of detailing and shading/highlighting that you use for the rest of the miniature that's all you need - not because you can't do better but just to get a consistent result.
It's also more realistic that way: if you hold a 30mm mini at arms length, you see what you see on a real person at, say, 20-50 yards. You don't see any snow white areas in the eyes of a real person at that distance, either.
