I think it looks pretty cool. I find that undead do not need to be painted with as much care as other more "lively" models. Therefore, I think the blending is just peachy as it is,(Heck, the guy just clawed its way out from the grave, for Pete's sake!), altough the base is not up to par with the paint job. The shield is specially noteworthy.
There seem to be some weaknesses - eg. the bones, the boots and the belt seem to be not smoothly blended for my taste. But the wood on the shield looks fantastic. Good job - maybe a better picture would help it?
Thank you very much for the kind words. Unfortunately I no longer own the piece, as it was sold on eBay, and cannot take further pictures. I will be doing other skeletons from Rackham and posting them at CoolMini, and will try to make them larger for viewing.
