I think its interesting, but maybe its something to do with the character expression, and the medium being blood (or bloody looking paint) that confuses the scene I envision this woman being in. If it is blood, I expect either a darker expression or a more visceral enthusiasm or excitement.
If its a blood sigil for a ritual I expect it to be a bit more complicated.
If its historically telling a story based on natives I think blue is a rarer pigment historically and there are some sculpted features that seem off.
I think its all well executed except for the concept of the story its telling.
