Shov'va and Ka'is
'A small set of glitch beeps from his comms headset alerted Shov'va to the message his battered, old faithful companion drone "Ka'is" was flashing up on his binoculars digital read out. "What!?" He exclaimed as he took his eyes away from the lens screen and involuntarily cocked his head slightly to address Ka'is, it was a very T'au trait to look at someone when talking to them as if Ka'is would even care and Shov'va wasn't sure if combat drones were considered to be 'sentient'. After all this time in the field together he had begun to think of the Ka'is as more than just equipment, and more of a familiar, that would be the closest direct term he thought to himself. Ka'is had saved Shov'va's life many times over the years by providing communication relays mid battle or watching his back whilst he slipped away under fire. No matter the odds, this drone had somehow always made it through. "We aren't leaving yet" he said "BRRT-BEE-BEE-BRZZT!" spat back Ka'is in its usual electronic clicks "I don't care if you're scared of bugs, the things we hunt are far more dangerous than any local fauna we'll come across" Shov'va half said as he went back to scanning the horizon, "KRRZZT-CLAK-CLAK!" spat Ka'is behind him "Yeah, me too old friend, me too"'
