Belakor the Shadowlord

My interpretation of the Shadowlord. The model is a Confrontation Wolfen converted with Orion's head and wings from a Pegasus. The "Blade of Souls" is made from plastic card shaved to resemble a blade, and various bitz were added to the blade to give the effect of souls trapped in the weapon. This is my first NMM model. I'm still quite uncertain about it. I guess its that "looks gold but not gold" feeling I get when looking at the model. I do like the opportunities NMM gives to highlighting though.... Pls leave your comments, esp on NMM (how to do it right, and should it be done) Thanks in advance.

SWEET!! Love the conversion work, the pose really seems to work. Thats a nasty whip he has !! Cant comment on the NMM as I have given up trying to do it! He seems a bit to pink for me though.

Very interesting conversion! :D The NMM on the sword hilt looks great, the bits on the arm braces seem a bit too yellow, try getting in some of the browner tones into the shadows, as you have with the sword hilt. The wings look a bit plain in comparison to the rest of the model. maybe add some pattern to the primaries in a darker blue or black for interest. I'm not keen on the colour you have chosen for the sword, as you can't really see the souls and the green background camoflages the sword as well. I would have used the same set of blues as you have used on the rest of the model for the sword or maybe go for red like at the base of the horns.
