To you guys giving under 5, remember that 5 is tabletop quality, below would be... well.. bits box or kill the model votes... Problem here is the smoke... don't ever do that again! Thin your paints as well. You got the overlook down, trying to do freehand at this point is not recomended. Try to get the colors shaded a bit, just one shade would do nicely. Your placement of colour clearly indicate that you have a feel for it. Keep it up and let us see more! (rating 10 to bring it up a bit, cos 3 is not acceptable)

For my vote, there was no BS. I think this is a 5. It will look decent from far away on a tabletop. It's not great, but decent. I've seen EB leave really low scores for people many times. If he had anything posted we could at least see if he knows what he's talking about, but we can't, as he never posts his own stuff. I can only assume he knows NOTHING, or is afraid of the scores his stuff would get from all those painters he left unreasonably low scores for..

One of my pet peeves is when people BS the painter for fear of hurting their feelings. This a very bad job. If I were you I would strip this, then use light layers of primer. Preferably white. Krylon is great primer and is cheaper than that over priced GW garbage. Then try some thinning down your paints. It's hard to tell if that is a banner or Green Stuff. If it is a banner, draw the banner first, then make photo copies. The extra copies will useful if you make a mistake painting/ colouring. Don't get discouraged and give up. It takes practise. You have a good idea. Try again. Drop me a line when you repost the pic.
