I'd like to get an idea of where I'm at skill wise, as I want to start painting beyond a table top quality.
To my eyes, this is a very clean and diligent paintjob. It shows discipline and gets a great overall impression due to the restricted color palette, not going overboard with contrasts and secondary colors.
It looks like most of the harsh white highlights come from the external lighting for the photo - the next level for the paint job could be to increase the contrast between the painted base color, shades and highlights. I always tend to be too timid there, with the result that the highlights I paint are hardly noticable. Not going overboard with the color mix is a good thing, not going overboard with the contrasts makes the result seem a bit bland, though.
