You seem to be painting with a steady hand and a clear result. The color looks like it needs some thinning to follow the contours of the mini better, and look less thick. That would also allow clearer highlights and shading with a few simple washes and drybrushing or similar techniques.
And I guess the photo (with very harsh lighting and a "noisy" background is not doing the mini any favors, so the overall impression is worse than the mini itself.
