i like what you did with the repose. as for the paint you could and a black ink to the gold and then bring it up from there it would give it more definition. Anyway great job check out my two bone giants in progress under spignazer
Looks good. While your working on the gold, make sure to put some shadows on it as well. I also think that you could start with a darker/dirtier color for the bone.
