Undead Grave Guard

I got these three miniatures two weeks ago, and I have been working on them on and off, ever since. It's the first time that I paint more than one mini of the same type at the same time. I mean, I painted all these three figures at the same time. I guess there are both advantages and drawbacks about painting like that. It's better, because I would never go back to paint the other two if I had only painted one of them to begin with. It's also good to paint all three simultaneously, because it gives them a very similar look. The colours I mixed, the shadings I have done etc, were all used on the three figures. So they are exactly the same in colours, but of course they differ a little from eachother because no miniature is an exact copy of another :) Also, the middle one is a different model, of course! I was a little disappointed when I noticed that there were three figures in the blister, and two were exactly the same. It had been more fun if I had gotten three different models, so I guess I'll have to look closer next time before I buy :) The breastmails are supposed to look like old and worn copper, but I'm not sure if it shows very well on the photos. The rest of the metal is supposed to look like old and rusted metal, and I tried to give the blades of the swords a slight blue tone, to make them look ancient and a little magical. I'm sure you have something to say about the shields. I wanted to give them some kind of interesting decoration, rather than just black shields or some kind of regular symbols. So I did a little freehand painting, and it's supposed to be a night-theme "reaper" or "death" figure, in case you can't tell! ;) There are also some close-ups here: http://www.coolminiornot.com/?id=45546 I hope you like them, I had lots of fun painting them! :D

Shield: You bet I could tell what it was. The glow is fantastic and I like the inconsistency because it fits my concept that the Grim Reaper is indistinct. The reds could highlight brighter and be less glossy.
