For a beginners work this has some good points. It looks neat enough to me, no major overlaps of colour that I can see and the colours used aren't bad at all. There are a few things that are killing you with your minis though. Firstly, the size of the picture is doing you zero favours. It will show every single flaw and blemish. There are a lot of good guides online for taking pictures of miniatures which are definitely worth a read. Secondly, it looks like you've gloss varnished it which is making it overly shiny. Switch over to a matte varnish and you'll see a difference. Finally, start using basing materials to create a bit of life on the model. Some Games Workshop texture paint and some grass tufts from army painter will ad a whole new dimension to it. I hope I don't sound like an ass with this, its just I've made the exact same mistakes when I was starting out. Keep at it though, practice makes perfect :)
