The sculpt is actually very old (early 90's), and might explain why you find it "bad" (but remind the size of it).
Bilbo or Frodo could be 50, by Hobbit's standards (Bilbo is more than 130 at the beginning of the LoTR...)
Anyway great and precise painting.
This is actually Bilbo, the vignette is called 'Riddles in the Dark', so this Hobbit is not about to destroy the ring, he just found it.....
A 'bad' sculpt? No comment....
