Crimson Fists Combat Squad

This is my favorite of the combat squad models. I really like the look of the "beaky" marine. Color scheme for all of the crimson fists are the same - Imperial blue mixed with black ink for the base - highlighted up to imperial blue/ultramarine blue. Burnt cadmium red for red base, washed with brown ink, highlighted up to 50/50 mix of scar red/hot orange. I really had fun doing the Urban Rubble bases and I think they turned out well. Hard to tell in this angle but I drilled some small indentations in the side of the plascrete rubble to simulate bullet impacts. I look forward to your comments. Cheers, -Mike

Interesting. How do you use this product and where do you get it from. Do you paint over or under the water slide? By the way, I should have commented on your mini sorry about that Besides the Darkness of the photo, I can appreciate that your base among most things looks pretty nice. Your paint coats are thin and even and I can tell you pay attention to detail (The purity seal justify's that). My marine army is coming along nicely too. Im gonna post some pics of it soon :-)

I used a product called Micro-set. For the most part it softened pretty good. Not perfect however. After coating it with glass and tile medium and dull coating it looks good. There is a 2nd softener you can apply called micro-sol which I think I will use next time.

Bit of an awkward question to ask, but how do you apply the Fist water slide so evenly on your shoulder pad. Ive tried a few and it drives me crazy, they dont go on evenly. There bends and folds all over and it doesnt hold. Im just wondering if Im overlooking anything :/ -MiL-
