Crimson Fists Veteran Sergeant

Just for fun I decided to paint up a combat squad of Crimson Fist Space Marines. These guys are all accurate in detail according to the Games-Worshop storyline. The left shoulderpad displays the chapter symbol, the right shoulderpad showing the veteran sergeant's icon and the combat squad showing the 2nd company troop icons. Base color for the veteran sergeant is Vallejo Game Color Imperial blue mixed with some black ink - which was brought up to a highlight of 50/50 mix of imperial blue and ultramarine blue. Red started as base of model color burnt cadmium red with final highlight of scar red mixed with hot orange. I look forward to your comments. Cheers, -Mike

Magnus - Glad you like them! Of all the space marine chapters the Crimson Fists have a soft spot for me.

Yeah the problem is the lighting. I need to get a 2nd light. I guess it doesn't help that the crimson fists are a dark blue. I did the highlights subtle so that it was grittier looking than the more cartoony bold highlights at the rims of the armor plating. I have better pictures on my website. (wish I could change pictures once they are submitted) - oh well. :)
