Marneus Calgar and Honour Guard
This is the group shot of the firstborn Marneus Calgar and Honour Guard. These are based on the Forge World large scale Imperial Space Marine figure and the colour scheme and design are fro the standard sized set that I painted up many moons ago. I made some adjustments to Marneus' armour in that it didn't sit to well with me that the ammo belts from the 28mm figure just disappeared into his armour - where was all the ammo stored? There didn't seem to be enough space, so I added on 2 drums to the back of his armour which seemed to fit better. From start of sculpting to the final lick of paint took 3 years, and I am very happy with the final look of this project - now just to finish the display cabinet that this is going to sit in.
