Blue Wizard

This miniature was designed as a bit more youthful of an adventuring wizard. I kept thinking of a proud, but mysterious mage, bent on acchieving his arcane goals. I use a LOT of blending combined with washes and dry brushing. I'm still trying to get the hang of getting good photos to show you folks! Jeffery A. "Blaznak"

The picture is a lil bit too close! I like it. The blends look nice and clean. :) ..8

I also use multiple layering & blending to achieve a unique color and finish; but I tend to stay away from ink washes towards the very end of layering. This could also be a factor in the resulting 'shine' you see. I agree with the first comment about the lighting problem. Are you using at least two spot lights(not fluorescent lamps)? Perhaps you could try a lighter background color, but more importantly, try setting your miniature on a piece of white paper/card to help reflect the light upwards. I do love the color choice of blues/yellows/golds, but the color of his beard should look more like a reddish-blonde and different from the beautiful overcloth with filigree work on his cloke. Great job, Faye
