My first attempt at Non Metal Metal. I tried to make it look like he was out on a starlit night, which is why the highlights are blue/black instead of gray.
Thanks for the message. Yes, it is a bit shiney. I used Dull Cote and the result was attrocious! Came out too dull; you couldn't distinguish any shadows or highlights. So I hit it again with a satin finish and decided to let it be; better a bit shiney than faded out.
You might want to try to highlight right up to almost white on the NMM parts. What really helps in discerning where to put the highlights is to hold the mini directly under a light source again and again before painting the next layer.
And it looks really glossy. Wrong finish maybe?
