Shardrain are the grim companions of one of the ancient creatures of Malekith-Malerion He locked in dungeons of Druchiroth. Born from mix of his blood and dark magics they inherited part of this devilish power Shade inherited from his divine progenitor in turn. Being born as a transparent silhouettes, they feed on magic energies and accumulate forces transforming into quick predators of the battlefields unseen in misty haze while they hunt their enemies. They strike them down by tearing weak flesh - or consuming warm of their lives or with a single tiny cut sending stolen energies to the wonderful accumulating engines.
