Bah Humbug

uploading some previous work It was time to close shop. A time Scrooge despised. Ah those blasted street urchins were at it again. He thought back to the events of today. About his misguided nephew, Fred. “There are many things from which I might have derived good, by which I have not profited.” Stated Fred. 'Christmas among the rest. But I am sure I have always thought of Christmas time as a good time; a kind, forgiving, pleasant time; the only time I know of, when men and women seem by one consent to open their shut-up hearts freely, and to think of people below them as if they really were fellow-passengers to the grave, and not another race of creatures bound on other journeys. And therefore, uncle, though it has never put a scrap of gold or silver in my pocket, I believe that it has done me good, and will do me good.” What a fool thought Scrooge. The lad barely had a cent to his name. Time to return home for a long winters nap. I love a Christmas Carol. I’ve seen so many versions of it. The redemption arc is something I find particularly comforting. This is my dedication to Charles Dicken’s Christmas Carol. It has taken me a while to complete during a time when I have found my own spirits lacking. But I do love the finished product and hope you do too. Special thanks to Alfonso and Ben for their guidance and to David Phillips for the Marley door knocker.
