Duke Gerard

This was my entry in Jarrett Lee's Metallic Adept 2004 contest. I am very pleased with how he turned out. Metals were washed with inks and highlighted up and washed for several layers. The red turned out nice and deep. Started with a base burnt cadmium red and used a brown ink wash to darken it up and keep it dull. I did something a bit different with the base and decided to glue the static grass down before I primed and painted it. I wanted a dark fantasy green for the grass and started with a base of green ink and highlighted up by mixing a flat green with yellow and white paint. More pictures and further descriptions are up on my website. Cheers, -Mike

I really feel like your lighting is hurting the score on this mini. post one wide so we can see more of him. I would love to see a repost.
