In Cathedrals of the Forest - Elf
Painted up the “Cathedral of the Forest – Female Faerie” from @darkswordminiatures. The sculpt is based on Stephanie Law's ( @spmlaw ) watercolor of the same name, so I aimed for a color palette that reflected her art style—soft, flowing, and full of pale, ethereal tones. Went with a mix of pastel green, green-blue, lavender, and pale yellow, with lavender handling most of the shadow work and yellow for the highlights and tassels. The skin tone was tricky—I wanted to match the porcelain glow Law gives her fae women. I leaned into a whiter base with yellow-sepia undertones for the shadows instead of red, but it still ended up a bit warmer than I'd hoped.
