eBay rescue WFB Orc Boy
I found this listing on eBay for a “very small figure of an ogre” for $2.00 so I bought it right away. I found the listing in a Citadel catalog from 1990 for an “Orc Boyz Halberd 3” code RR5/E. The original model came with a plastic shield sprue but this one was missing that and the halberd head had broken off. I got him stripped and sculpted replacements from some plastic tube and Tamiya epoxy putty. Then I used some Mr. Hobby Mr. Metal Primer (which was very hard to find in the US) and then painted him up off and on over the past few weeks while I worked on other things. I really like how much character these old metal miniatures have and since he and I have the same birth year I have some affection for his ugly mug. I just need to get him on a square base with angled slot now.
