Brothers: Asurmen 2000 vs. 2025
When I started to try painting on a bit of a higher level I finished Asurmen in 2000 as a 19-year-old. I entered it, purely just for fun, into the German Golden Demon. And it won Gold. (Given the quality we nowadays see at competitions, he wouldn't even make the first cut.) So - for several reasons I had to take a break from miniature painting for over 15 years and returned to the hobby in 2023 with painting some HeroQuest miniatures. The fire was lit once again and I devoured tutorials and videos, invested in new paints, good brushes, a wet palette, and so on... And with the 25th birthday of my old Asurmen approaching, I decided I wanted to see if I would be able to recreate the original pattern with my current skills and tools: Asurmen - 25 years later.
