Gnome Team empty base
The miniature base is inspired by the village where Asterix lives. The colour scheme of the figures is deliberately highly contrasted to evoke the feel of a comic-book world. A hen is hunting for a worm, a nuthatch is taking off from the thatched roof, and a fish is hanging out to dry alongside the hats on the clothesline. The angle of the roof echoes the hexagonal shape of the miniature bases while also reinforcing the perspective of the scene.
