I just got into Warhammer 40K and am building my first army. This guy was a test model. I used a warmachine base because I really think they make the minis stand out on the table. I have only been painting minis for less than two years on an irregular basis and have only gotten serious in the last year. I removed the arm with the las pistol and added a chain saw as I thought the stance of the figure gave it a more "action" look this way. Let me know what you think. Thanks!

Thanks! Simplicity is something that I am striving for with this army. Although I really enjoy putting time into a mini, I just had to get cranking on getting an army to the tabletop. I will post what I have done now sometime next week. I am just finishing up my first stormtrooper squad which looks nice.

I like him, nice pose and suitable 'inspiring' to the troops. The color scheme is budget so you can really churn out a army quickly, yet look good. Nice work. POst some of your squads when you can ? =)
