dark eldar incube

i currently work on this i dlike technical advice to make the eye and gemstones look more like orbs and on blending and shading, i am not too fond of blunt washing and drybrushing, i d like something that need some mroe work but more subtle, criticism on the color scheme are welcome, what color scheme would you like the axe to be done with.

As already stated, a brown wash would give the gold much better feel. But I cannot agree with albinosoldier314. For me, this is more than a tabletop. Tabletop quality means just one ink or some basic highlighting. That would fit to this, but I like the overall look to it. That it what makes it 6. And a nice base would make it a 7. :)

I agree that the weapon would look good as red and black. I think you could use some brown washes toward the joints of the gold to create som shadows, and i'm not sure about the colours for the feet. If you shade the gold and sort out the weapon (and the base obviously), it would be a 7 for me. Shaz

advice taken , the red and black stuff is taken into account and could indeed work well on the areas i have not painted already, 3 layers of painting seem a bit too much work on an average tabletop model and i must admit i prefer accurate painting for a tabletop model rather than a blunt thick three contrasting stripes higlighting with a generous washing, the golden and blueparts have already been washed but require a bit more work for shading it is true, although there is no chance i spoil the half of the work i did on shading with a thick black ink washing. the base paint is not going on the feets, the base is not painted yet......GW make there bases of black plastic. I think a 4 is a bit harsh even for an unfinished mini but i appreciate that you gave me your opinion on the model.
