Traveling Paladin

This guyw as basically an experiment in various techniques I have seen other painters use. I tried a new wash with future floor finish in it, made my first attempt at dry brushing, experimented with natural basing (Parsley flakes and two rosemary pieces), and made my first successful attempts at wet on wet blending with the flame sword and the shield. The rune on the shield is a Futhark R, the symbol for travelers. I had a few problems on this mini. I could not find out what the gold thing on his belt was so I just picked a color and painted it gold, figuring it was some sort of metal. I forgot to blackline between his tunic and collar, and messed up a patch on his helmet. This is my greatest mini so far and I think they will just continue to improve. I hope you like it as well. The camera was ratehr kind, making a few spots look better. It hurt the sword though as it often looks like it is brighter than the other figure due to neon paints. I really wish that effect had come through.

Nice job on the shield. Keep up the practice, I'm in the same boat.
