Dark Elf - Black Guard

I have tried to paint this miniature to the highest standard that I am capable of. I have spent a lot of time on it so it's not really intended for gaming. I have bought an entire Dark Elf army though (i've never played warhammer before) but i doubt i can paint it all to this standard, that would take me years. I have 20 more Black guards, of which 3 are command units. I also have 21 Corsairs, of which one (1) is almost finished. I think i need to paint faster and less detailed if i am ever to finish an entire army and actually try to play the warhammer game, ever :) I know that this is a pretty bright-coloured miniature for being a Dark elf, but i like it that way. I don't think that all evil elves always wear black, grey or dark-purple.. Thanks for looking, feel free to leave feed-back.

Hahha.. I actually got this figure in a trade and now it is in possessions of my cousin. Just funny seeing a figure I actually own on this website. Seriously, the figure looks much better in person. Luckily we got the figure at the same value as a regular Black Guard, what a SWEET DEAL!

I like the mini, both in terms of the coulour scheme and of the painting technique. Very expressive face. If you want to paint up an army, I'd advise you to spend a bit more time on the front rank figures (like you did with this one), and do the rear rankers quicker. They'll be obscured by the fellers before them anyway, and thus you save a lot of time.
