Mirari the Seductress

Here's Mirari the seductress. I got her about 1 1/2 years ago. I bought her thinking it would be an interesting exercise in painting fleshtones for the whole figure. It is certainly an interesting challenge because she is really really tiwggy with muscles that don't seem to match human anatomy. Also, I think seductresses should be a little more.... fleshed out and softer.... Mirari is a little on the bony side. Also the posing of the flowing ribbon looks a little odd. There wasnt really much of a base, so I sculpted some fallen green leaves and dirt to complement the figure. I recently decided to paint this fig to try that transparent/translucent material against skin effect. I think it might turn out to be one of my favourite effects after all. Its rather interesting to do and its rather easy to get the hang of. comments appreciated

You did a really impressing paintjob on that odd sculpt. Good You told me she is holding a ribbon, on first glance I thought she was gripping a whip in her big hand.

Very nice - I've got this one too and was planning on doing her with a more Asian skintone - fits the figure more in my opinion.

A poor sculpt IMO - her legs and arms seem very mannish - but the transparent effect is impressive. She might make a better nymph or dryad than seductress.
