I like your Land Raider´s colour (because I play Emperor´s Children...;-)), it´s very well-painted and even the lights look good.

Why purple!!!
Well when I first started painting 40k minis I painted the first one in purple because I only had a few paints and did not want to paint them blue, red, white or black since lots of people I know had used these colours I was only left with brown or purple….. purple it was.
Since then my army colour is purple, and I have not battled anyone that has a purple army.
